This program requires a specialized application process. All accepted radiography students are required to participate in clinical education. Students will be responsible for participating in clinical rotations each semester and will require documentation of a Level 2 background check, Drug Testing, Immunizations, and the purchase of professional liability insurance.

Students are responsible for providing their own transportation to the clinical facilities. Clinical rotations will be scheduled during the week between the hours of 7 AM to 10 PM. Curriculum consists of on-campus classes and labs, online instruction and clinical education in area hospitals.

The first year coursework usually consists of two days per week of clinic hours, with the other three days spent in lectures and labs. Clinic days increase to three times a week in the second year. The goal of the program is to graduate qualified professionals who can successfully sit for the ARRT exam. Student clinical rotations are scheduled during the weekdays and can occur between the hours of 7 a. Upon completion of the program, the graduate is eligible to take the American Registry of Radiologic Technologist Exam to become a registered radiographer. This registry is accepted in any state and many foreign countries. Employment opportunities exist in emergency centers, doctors offices, hospitals and industries. Opportunities exist for all combinations of working hours.

The radiographer works closely with physicians and other members of the health care team to assure quality medical care.
